Overview
Adobe XD is a vector-based design tool for creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI designs for web and mobile apps. It integrates seamlessly with other Adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator.
Pricing & Free Tier
Free Tier: Yes. Includes 1 active shared prototype and 2 active shared design specs.
Single App Plan: $9.99/month. Unlocks unlimited prototypes and shared links.
Creative Cloud All Apps: $59.99/month for the full suite.
How to Use
- Open XD and choose a canvas size (e.g., iPhone or Desktop).
- Use the shape and text tools to design your screens.
- Click the "Prototype" tab at the top.
- Draw wires between artboards to create clickable interactions.
Important Notes
- Discontinued: Adobe has officially moved XD into maintenance mode. No new features are being developed, and Figma has largely replaced it as the industry standard.
- Performance: XD can become sluggish with extremely complex, large-scale design systems.
