About
Overview
Arc is a desktop web browser designed to reimagine the browsing experience. It replaces the traditional top URL bar with a left-side vertical sidebar, introduces "Spaces" for context switching (e.g., Work, Personal), and offers built-in features like split-screen view and customizable themes.
Pricing & Free Tier
Free Tier: Yes. The browser is completely free to download and use.
Arc Max (AI Features): Currently free during the beta phase, but may become a paid subscription in the future.
How to Use
- Download Arc from arc.net (available for macOS and Windows).
- Import your bookmarks and passwords from Chrome/Safari during onboarding.
- Create different "Spaces" in the sidebar to organize your workflow.
- Use
Cmd + Tto open a command bar where you can search, ask AI, or navigate to URLs.
Important Notes
- Learning Curve: Arc completely breaks the standard browser UI. It can take several days to adjust to the sidebar-centric workflow.
- Resource Usage: Built on Chromium, Arc is fairly resource-intensive. It is not designed for low-spec computers.
