💡 About Dead Link Checker
A broken link (or dead link) is a hyperlink that points to a page that no longer exists. Broken links hurt your SEO and user experience. This tool extracts all links from a given page and checks their HTTP status codes.
Note: Some websites use anti-bot protection (like Cloudflare or WAF). They may return a 403 Forbidden even if the link is actually working for human visitors. This is a false positive.
About
Overview
The Dead Link Checker scans a webpage, extracts all the anchor links (href), and tests each one to see if it returns a 404, 500, or timeout error. It is a crucial tool for maintaining good technical SEO health.
How to Use
- Enter the URL of the page you want to scan.
- Click "Scan".
- Wait for the tool to test the links (capped at 30 links per run).
- Fix any links that return a red error status.
Important Notes
- Limit: To prevent server timeouts, we only test the first 30 unique links found on the page.
- False Positives: Some websites use anti-bot protection that blocks our scraper, returning a 403 error even though the link is valid for human visitors.
