How to Use
- Go to hemingwayapp.com.
- Paste your text into the editor.
- Look at the color highlights:
🔴 Red = Hard to read (very long sentences).
🟡 Yellow = Long sentences.
🟣 Purple = Complex words with simpler alternatives.
🔵 Blue = Passive voice.
🟢 Green = Adverbs. - Rewrite the flagged sentences to improve your readability score.
Important Notes
- Not a Grammar Checker: Hemingway does not check for spelling or basic grammar errors (like "their" vs "there"). You must use it alongside Grammarly or a spell checker.
- Style Limitations: The app forces a highly direct, journalistic style. For literary fiction, the rules can be too restrictive.
