About

Overview

Notion is an all-in-one workspace that combines note-taking, knowledge management, task tracking, and databases. It uses a highly flexible block-based architecture, allowing users to build custom productivity systems ranging from simple notes to complex project management dashboards.

Pricing & Free Tier

Free Tier: Yes. Unlimited pages for personal use, with a 5MB file upload limit.
Plus: $10/user/month. Adds unlimited file uploads, 30-day page history, and small team collaboration.
Business: $15/user/month. Adds SAML SSO, advanced permissions, and bulk PDF export.

How to Use

  1. Create an account at notion.so.
  2. Start with a blank page and type / to insert blocks (text, to-do, table, image, etc.).
  3. Type /database to create a database, choosing between Inline or Full Page.
  4. Switch database views (Table, Board, Calendar) by clicking the "+" next to the database title.

Important Notes

  • Offline Mode: Notion is heavily cloud-dependent. Offline support is extremely limited; you cannot fully edit pages without an internet connection.
  • Notion AI: The AI writing assistant is a paid add-on ($8/user/month) and is not included in the standard plans.
