Overview
Notion AI is an integrated AI writing assistant and Q&A engine built directly into the Notion workspace. It uses LLMs to help you draft documents, summarize meeting notes, translate text, and extract action items without leaving your workspace.
Pricing & Free Tier
Free Tier: Limited. A small number of free AI responses are provided to test the feature.
Notion AI Add-on: $8/user/month (billed annually). Added to your Notion plan to unlock unlimited AI usage across your workspace.
How to Use
- Open any Notion page and press the spacebar on an empty line.
- Select "Ask AI" or hit the AI icon in the toolbar.
- Choose a prompt like "Summarize", "Find Action Items", or "Translate".
- You can also ask the AI questions about your entire workspace (e.g., "What is our Q3 marketing strategy?").
Important Notes
- Privacy: Notion AI has access to the pages you give it permission to read. However, Notion states your data is not used to train their foundational models.
- Q&A Limits: The "Q&A" feature that searches across your whole workspace is still in beta and works best if your workspace is well-organized with clear page titles.
