Overview
Supabase is an open-source Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) that provides a Postgres database, authentication, instant APIs, and real-time subscriptions. It is widely known as the open-source alternative to Firebase.

Free Tier: Yes. Includes 500MB database, 1GB file storage, and 50,000 monthly active users.
Pro Plan: $25/month. Unlocks 8GB database, 100GB storage, and daily backups.
Team/Enterprise: Custom pricing for advanced compliance.
How to Use
- Create an account at supabase.com.
- Click "New Project" and set a database password.
- Use the built-in Table Editor to create tables, or use SQL Editor for raw queries.
- Copy the API keys to connect your frontend application.
Important Notes
- Pausing: Free tier projects that are inactive for 7 days will be paused to save resources. You can manually restore them.
- RLS (Row Level Security): You must enable and configure RLS policies, otherwise, your database could be publicly readable/writable.
