Overview

Bear is a beautiful, flexible writing app for crafting notes and prose. It uses Markdown under the hood but hides the syntax, allowing you to focus on writing while still enjoying the power of markdown tagging and cross-linking.

Free Tier: Yes. Allows you to write notes, but syncing across devices requires a subscription.
Pro: $2.99/month or $29.99/year. Unlocks iCloud sync, export options (PDF, DOCX), and custom themes.

How to Use

1. Open Bear and click the "+" icon to create a note.
2. Use #tags anywhere in the text to organize your notes.
3. Use the format bar at the bottom to add bold, headers, or lists.
4. Click the "Info" icon to link notes together (bi-directional linking).

Important Notes

• No Folders: Bear uses a tag-based system instead of traditional folders. This takes some getting used to but is much more flexible.
• Apple Only: Bear is only available on Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
