Pricing & Free Tier
Free Tier: Yes. Includes unlimited users, 1-on-1 audio/video, and 90 days of message history.
Pro: $8.75/user/month (billed annually). Unlocks unlimited message history and unlimited app integrations.
Business+: $15/user/month. Adds SSO and advanced compliance.
How to Use
- Create a workspace at slack.com and invite your team.
- Create channels for different projects (e.g., #marketing, #dev).
- Use
@to tag a colleague, or click the "+" next to the message box to attach files. - Click the "Huddles" icon in any channel to start a quick audio or video call.
Important Notes
- Message Limits: On the free plan, messages older than 90 days become hidden and inaccessible. You must upgrade to keep them.
- Notification Overload: Be sure to configure your notification preferences; otherwise, Slack can become a massive distraction.
